CONGRATULATIONS TO ROB DENNY ON ACHIEVING HIS 1ST DAN IN TAE KWON DO!
Rob worked hard to put in the training with Tae Kwon Do instructor Alan Hughes 5th dan and did very well on his recent grading which incorporated WTF and ITF disciplines. Rob teaches San Shou and Lau Gar as an instructor in his own right, assists with Wing Chun instruction and is still learning other styles as well. He trains every day to keep the knowledge. This is pure dedication to the martial arts.
Well done Rob!
May 2010
Chief Instructor Bob Denny is proud to display his latest certification, recently awarded 8th degree BLG Wing Chun and 1st dan Tae Kwon Do (WTF & ITF disciplines).
Although fast approaching his 60's he can still produce a reasonable flying kick, strong iron-like blocks, mean punches and battering take downs, Bob does well and age is no barrier in continuing his training.
The club congratulates him for his hard work and many years of dedicated service to martial arts.
This knowledge is handed down through his instructors to students who gladly reap the benefits.
Instructor Rob Denny was invited to attend the Cornwall Sports Partnership Awards ceremony on Friday 13 November at the Esplanade Hotel in Newquay. He was shortlisted to the final seven in his category of Male Coach of the Year 2009 and received his certificate on stage from Michaela Breeze, Olympic weightlifter champion.
Well done Rob!
